Frieght has been good since I came off home time last 9 days ago...

Currently sitting at Ute Mountain Colorado, out of hours :biggrin_2556:, delivery in los lunas in the morning... 5 hour drive away so no problem to make it from here on time.

Even got loaded right away in Ogden Utah, and not to a hershey load. Dm asked if I wanted to do a repower tomorrow after I am empty, or the meat patch. I told her to check my hours, and see what she can do with them...I am even limited on what meat patch I can make it to with my hours.

Will see what the new day brings....

Everyone must be working hard, and have no time or energy to stop by and update us all. Be safe, and enjoy life.

When you're this low on hours, the meat patch is your friend. Get a load going northeast and you'll position yourself for a couple great loads with a fresh 70

Tried that, but meat is so overbooked on meat loads out of Liberal they actually asked me to run over my hours on the phone. That went no where fast. My load assignment was changed, to a load that DLD's 8 hours later, woopee....

I am still short on hours, and they could not understand why I can not be in Liberal tonight, I showed 10 hours for the day...

But I drove 5 hours to get to los lunas, and liberal is 7.5 hours away...do the math.

Both me and MY DM requested a load that DLD's on Monday so that I could reset, and that request fell on deaf ears.

So I am 90 miles away from liberal, out of hours again, my load is ready, I called and asked, so I will go and pick it up in the morning early, and make Tucumcari NM early, and be out of hours again. Any one want a 4 drop US Foods LA load??? They will be looking to repower it from me, either Saturday in tucumcari, or Sunday in Flagstaff.

Had a northeast load that I could not pick up by the 4am DLD. Then got this LA run.

Everyone have fun this weekend, the meat patch is a cluster.

lol the meat dispatch dept screwed the pooch last week! I had a load that was scheduled for Thursday pickup and I got it Saturday and had to ddhd 250 miles to get it. Then they didn't repwr it from me until Tues. Anyone else notice a lot of repwring lately? I've done 4 out of my last 4. This morning I finally delivered a load to Costco in Morris IL, just a few miles from where I grew up. Since road rescue asked me to let them know when I wasn't under a rush load so I could have the apu looked at, I called them. They sent me to nearest TK shop, and lo, its dead smack in my old area! I drive there, trying to remember the area, and when I see the exit I grin. Donalds Grill is across the street and I used to go there a few times a month for the best Maxwell Polish around! I called a couple old school friends I found in the phone book and two answered and had time to come chow and catch up. A very good day even if I didn't get many miles. Now to hope tomorrow is my DM's Saturday to worrk so I don't have to deal with weekend dispatch!

Pulled into Liberal this morning, at 6:15, count 10 stevens bobtails, 1 contractor, and 9 company, all 6000 series trucks.

Check in, get my trailer number, as he digs threw the stevens folder looking for my load, I ask, how many loads are ready, 5 are ready...any of them for the bobtails setting out there? I ask. Nope, they are all still waiting.

Now perception is reality, when you are one of those bobtails setting there and see a black T660 pull in, and pull right back out with a loaded trailer. Makes one think we get special treatment. If they only knew the truth.

so I send in my running late message and repower request, stating that I will be stopping for the day in tucumcari NM. I get a message to repower in Albuquerque at the TA. Yep, normal Saturday. When I got to Tucumcari, I called, and said I sure hope that repower is set for sunday, as I am out of hours at tucumcari, as stated on the repower request. Nope for as soon as you can get there. Well that will be Sunday.

Another driver is set wondering what is happening with a repower, as no one looks ahead, and lets him know I can't move today, and will not be there until sunday am.

Stevens really needs some lessons on communications skills, giving complete information, and not cryptic messages trying to save a dime on the QC costs.

Sunday I will have 4 days of full hours to run, but will I get to use them???? I doubt it. It is sunday, and NOTHING gets done on sundays.

No you need to not take the crap, Start telling whom every is above them and continue till you find someone who will listen. Drivers do not need to take crap from everyone, not from anyone. Drivers are the only one who can change the way there treated.

So I'm headed west on I80 across Wyoming this morning (in TLea's neck of the woods). I get just west of Laramie and start heading up the hill when I see little bits of snow starting to bounce off the windshield. It's not sticking to the truck or the ground. The temp readout on my mirror says it's 65, so I'm none too concerned about it. About 20 miles further down the road, the sky goes grey, it gets foggy and cold, and the snow starts falling fast. The temp is steadily falling. I was planning on shutting down in Rock Spring for the night, but parked it in Rawlins instead. It's still snowing pretty good, and doesn't look like it's gonna clear up anytime soon.

I'm starting to believe that summer's never coming this year. :)
