Bout a month since I last visited the forums and catching up on the reading. Have a feeling that regardless of what part of the company I'm on, dedicated or OTR, my days are numbered. Having spent a year + OTR, getting laid regularly is growing high on my list.

Topic of town names, how about Earth, Texas...? I grew up in Western Pennsylvania so all the PA ones were in my back yard...

So they want us to repower a Peterbilt load going to Dallas. The solo driver can't make OTD, so we sit here until 1730 to do the swap then run all night to get it there on time. They have promised us a load to Oregon after that. Yay! Maybe I will get to stop and see my grandkids. I have no idea where this load goes as we haven't gotten a PP yet. My daughter lives in Beaverton, and I haven't even seen my youngest grandson yet.

I saw a Milawaukee load and a Clackamas load on the board last night. I'd bet on one of those. Not bad...close enough to Beaverton to make it work. Keep us informed.

sitting in rapid city on a load i never should have gotten 900 mile run with 5 days transit time which puts me far away from dallas where im supposed to turn truck in so i can move on to my new job. hopefully i get something headed that way but seeing as how im in meat patch north now i dont see getting to the yard any time soon.

I did that run with my OR1 trainer... they gave us six days on that run... Winco foods I believe is the reciever. We called ahed and they took the load two days early. Backload was out of Ontario Oregon tp San Diego. That is a beautiful ride along the Columnia River, enjoy it. And if you need to let your breaks cool at the bottom of Cabbage, there is a casino.

I'm betting it will either be a Darigold load out of Portland to Dallas, Apples from Wenatchee to Cedar Falls, or potatos from Prosser to Hannibal.
BTW...the NW is hot for freight right now, so if you're worried about going up to Seattle or Portland and getting stuck? Not a chance. We're brokering a lot out because we don't have trucks there.
