This is the same person growling about drivers not taking repowers. I read ya'lls post and remember the frustration, yet rejoice because I can

Does anybody who has been driving for Stevens Transport know if we take the truck home with us during our home time and if we don't, do we need to clean our trucks out where ever we park them at to prevent theft. I live in the OKC area if that helps any. Thanks.

company drivers must park tractor and trailer at an approved lot, Kenworth, Peterbilt, or thermoking. One that has a locked fence, and has steven's approval. A lease operator must park the trailer where told, and has the option of taking the tractor home, if local ordinances allow.
I always cleaned out my valuables.

Laredo will pick up. Once Cali slows. Then it'll be all Yuma, Nogales and Laredo.

Do we really have this much freight right now, or am I just in the right place lately?

Since I left the yard Tuesday afternoon I have already completed two.trips, will have this one delivered in the early afternoon and be loading again in the evening for another run... no complaints mind you, 3000 in a week while still on Grad Fleet is a good thing, but evety one of these loads has been a late.pick jp, and one a late.delivery... bu that I mean Tuesday evening I picked up a trailer at Haslet railhead that had a delivery date of Tuesday afternoon... Today I picked up a load that had a pickup date of two days ago etc...

Just made me wonder if we have that much freight things are getting pushed back, or is this kind of normal?

Freight runs in waves, just like the ocean shore. If you're running with the waves, it's (in surfer terms) Kowabunga!
If you're running agains the wave, it's 'bummer dude'.
Sorry...all those years I lived in San Diego must have snuck out!
Seriously, tho. It's a spotty thing. I can tell you last weekend and this one have been absolutely brutal trying to keep up with all the freight. And I'm seeing more northern freight right now than ever. (Dakotas, Montana, Minnesota, etc).
Now I know it will die down again. Just the way the waves run.
But if you're in the waves...well what can I say? Gnarley!

Me again, I was just wondering if anybody could tell me that once I am ready to start my training, if I am unable to come up with the $100.00 processing fee, would Stevens Transport cover that and it being deducted from my pay, and also if I already have an Oklahoma ClassA lic. would I still have to change to the Tx. lic. or is that for those who do not have a ClassA lic. yet?
