Fozzy. Let me know how that goes please. One thing I discovered this morning that every one that was a little high on the machine was retested by the nurse practitioner. Every one of us had a higher BP even after relaxing. I was just telling the guys in our class I think it is off. Maybe they can try another cuff.

I.too have questioned their readings. I had surgery in February, 4 days in hospital bp checked everu 4hrs...went on follow up Dr visits every two weeks the last being May 2nd... bp checked every time... was never ever high. Get to Stevens, have physical on May 22... twenty days later I have High BP.

I point this out to them and their response was "well it's a good thing we caught it early"

Next time I am home I need to see my doc amd have it checked again.

When I went there you had to get a new number for each test. It took me 4 trips to get all my tests and I passed each one thenfirst time. Sitting there so.often sucked really hard. It was around 12 hrs spent total to take those 5 tests.

I pointed out to them that the manual readings were higher than the machine and they told me the machine was always higher... I told her to looknback at the readings they are right in front if you... after they gave me the scrpt, I was still a little high on the machine, I said "come on, this is ########" the nurse said hold on, fiddled under the cuff and did it again and voila! No more hbp... I still think its a scam personally.

Thanks bgriffing. I've been studying 6 and 14 this week and starting to feel confident about them. Quick review of the highlights today and then read chapter 2. I'll probably test on 6 and 14 tomorrow, Garland DPS is just down the road from me. Maybe go up with the group and test on 2 and 5 on Monday. I will be glad when I get all this testing off my plate though.
