We went thru the same thing at the Knoxville, TN Kenworth dealership. Truck was lft unlocked by shop, lost a new 7" PCMiler GPS, Stryker Radio, and RoadKing mike, $1200. KW offered $100 shop credit, we asked to review security tapes--no security cameras!! Got partial reimbursement thru our 'Personal Property' insurance thru Stevens. We were on emergency time-off due to a family member on Hospice Care, took the truck in to have a minor repair done, and no one notified us when truck was ready.

If you have homeowners insurance,(or renters) there might be some coverage there.

As for DAC? Stevens doesn't do anything with it unless you commit one of the 7 deadly sins of trucking. It costs money to post anything and they won't spend money unless it makes them money or it's a serious offense such as DUI, Failed drug, abandonment, abandonment under load, sexual harrassment, workplace violence or major theft.

We try and find one new restaurant each week during my days off. Sounds good, but that's too far to go for bbq!

Last week we found Papadeauxs. I had the best bowl of gumbo I've had in two years. Wow, is that place good!

The place I park at doesnt have my truck keys. I park it myself and take the keys with me so they cant leave it unlocked.

If they had locked it, they would have busted my window out like they did the other 2 trucks that got broken into.

Oh fiddlesticks. Can you believe this... oldest son says "What's all this in the hallway". I go to see and it's water seeping under the baseboards. Hot water heater has gone out. Now I'll have to cram just that much harder to fit in the time to replace that as well. Needed that like I need a hole in the head. Makes you feel like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football away from him. Oh well I'll get through this. :)

I was always told, the two most important tools a man can have are duct tape and WD40... if it doesn't move and it should you use the WD40 and if it does move and it shouldn't, well thats what the duct tape is for.
