Uncle walleys, got to love the place. I always just swept the trailer out, making sure there was no blood, then wrote a receipt in my receipt book for a mobile trailer wash service, called Scotts service. Always got loaded.

I found a place, couldn't get through on the phone... always busy, couldn't drive there because of the way the police were blocking intersections because of traffic lights being out so DM told me don't worry about it... so I did like you TLea... except for the receipt part... if I don't get loaded, I don't get loaded... I have a qc message saying I don't need it

Got quite the laugh today with my new (old) DM... Nice to be back on the OTR fleet, ....but that feeling lasted about two seconds.
Ohh she is going to love to hear from me in the morning!!!
just fyi, Im going to make a thread about my experience on the kraft "bakers run" dedicated just for easy reference if any other drivers might be looking for info/opinion about it...Emulsified and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
OptiStop Fuel routing lol?
Going from Connecticut to Ohio.
Fuel stop 1) New Jersey
Fuel stop 2) Indiana
Fuel stop 3) Nebrasca
WTH? LMAO. I called fuel and they looked at it and cant figure it out.KMac Thanks this. -
Optistops has a lot of gaps. I'm not sure anyone understands it. We are constantly having to issue new/additional stops. One thing is sure, tho. If they are in your route, we do get some great discounts from the optistops. If you're Alliance, use these where you can.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
So for Alliance drivers, the Optistops are the idea place to get fuel, but if they cannot get to it for some reason, can they fuel just about any where?
-
Alliance drivers can fuel anywhere they want. they are paying for it. The optistops are almost always the cheapest. Stevens goes to great lengths to negotiate the fuel discounts and passes them along to the drivers.
TRKRSHONEY and EasyB Thank this. -
I see.
It sounds to me that Stevens is giving their L/O the tools they need to succeed, but it is the determination, vision, skills in using the tools available to them, and a strong can-do spirit that will ultimately bring about an L/O financial success. -
Had an optistop at the Pilot in Gary, IN. With my fuel discount and fuel surcharge, I was actually PAID $19 to fuel there. Go figure.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Gary was always one of my favorite fuel stops. They put out some huge discounts there at the Pilot.
