Thanks for the explanation. It seemed like a logical preplan for this load if it were on time, just not for what is actually happening.

 

Not exactly true.
I have deadheaded from Brookhaven , MS to Portland, OR for Xmas Tree loads. Hunts Point, NY to Lexington, NE for meat. Phoenix, AZ to Storm Lake, IA for meat. It does happen, but very rare.

Sitting at TA East in Ontario, CA waiting for the training department to tell me what to do. Need to separate from my trainee partner. I still have 2 picks to do on the produce load I am under. I offered to run it as a solo twice, no response. I guess they are going to bus us back to the yard. I already told them I wasn't safe with him driving, nor is the public. If they had ok'd me driving and him as passenger this morning I could have made on time delivery, I don't think I can do it now unless they let me drive after midnight. Plus I'm betting the training department and my DM are gone for the day. Produce is not going to be happy.

 

18 update... Wow Its been busy, but I now have my class A. My hire date was today and went in to be assigned to a trainer but got dismissed at noon. Be back at 08:30 Monday. Man what a ride this has been. 40 people started, 18 survied. I'm happy I made it and hope I get a good trainer. Someone who will help me learn to be safe and has a positive attitude about making money for us, and what I need to make a living in the future. See you on the endless black ribbon.

 

LOL, no just someone who is being recruited by Stevens. My application is in, so we'll see what happens.
