Double edge sword IMO because I WANT these tight loads and I ENJOY running out my hours to deliver these late loads...
Funny tho, I've been called 3 times the last 2 days for repowers that were all improvements mile wise and time wise that I COULD NOT take due to being scheduled to be back in Dallas this weekend. Seems to be really pouring atm...

I am tentatively set to come to training in Dallas November 26th. But, I'm really conflicted. I want to maximize the amount of money I make and Stevens doesn't sound bad on paper. I am considering other options and I would have taken Stevens without looking back if they would have let me train in St. Louis (where I live) as they initially said I could, but Central (CRS) and Millis Transport are also on my list.
The thing that worries me is that Stevens looks like a company that is too big for its current business model. Its phone system is a bottle neck and while it looks like they may have some good people in the office, they are slammed to the point where things (drivers) are missed. This might have put them out of the running, but I also like their lease program (on paper). I know this is a point of contention and I don't want to stir anything up, but if I can get the miles I know I can make the lease work. The point then is miles. Can I get good miles despite some of the obvious inefficiencies? Or, will I wind up with just a lot of trouble and not able to contact anyone in the office? What say you? -
I really have to laugh, you see the posters around the offfice building hall ways about professional appearance, no I am by far not wearing a tan stevens shirt or anything like that, but you look at some of the "drivers" that walk in and out of that drivers lounge and listen to thier words and observe their mannerisms, and you gotta wonder, how they even got hired and kept in the first place. Its no wonder we have problems with these dilly dally strategies, gotta look at the base stock your dealing with first if they dont take pride in their appearance or actions at the yard why would they be even more pofessional on the road?

This question may have already been answered, but is Stevens using E-logs in all their trucks?

We got a message from our dm earlier saying we should be turning 700 miles a day. Not 550. I so wanted to message back four words. Three fifty a week. We aren't being paid by the mile. Until I am I'll park it when I no longer feel I can be sure of a parking spot as long as I. Have at least reached the point my trip plan says I should. He ain't driving this truck. We all knew they were repowering this load anyway.
Waka waka.
