Stevens Transport aviary

Does anyone have any Idea how I get off of this North East regional run I seem to be stuck on? Every other run takes me right back in there. Since August I have been west of Ft Worth twice and both times on repowers.

 

Just hang in there, you will eventually 'break free'. Just be glad you aren't on the California loop so many solos get stuck on..spend 2 days doing picks, get out to Kingman or Gallup, have a grinning trainer hand off his load that doesn't final for a couple more days, rinse and repeat. Hubby used to call it the '3 week California Shuffle' because it always took about 3 weeks to finally break free.

As long as you're getting decent miles out of it and not sitting a lot, be grateful, otherwise, start pounding on your DM.

 

Well, got off the yard with a reposeful to Laredo. Drove past that horrible accident on the way. This load doesn't deliver until tomorrow and our dm told me if we got it here last night we would get something else to keep us moving. This is my partners last week. I'm in my fourth. Lord, get me to grad class.

 

To be honest, I am. not so sure I wouldn't make that trade right now... three weeks out of the North East would.be a welcome break.

Kudo's to my DM and meat dispatch... I explained that a load to North Jersey is not in my best interests at the moment due to a pending legal matter, and they went out of their way to accommodate my request and I am heading to Washington instead. Thank you!

 

For those that 'love' the phone system...change is coming!
The new system becomes active next wednesday. Heaven help us!

 

The prospect of not being able to get in touch with operations as needed is the single biggest reason I chose not to come to work for Stevens. I hope the new system helps, but usually such problems are only solved by warm bodies.

 

We need bodies. You're right. But I wouldn't place a bet on THAT happening!

 

YAY!!! Made it 'home' to Knoxville for a week of Time Off for Thanksgiving and our youngest grandson's 1st birthday!!! This is the first holiday that hubby and I have taken off in 4 years. Previously we have helped to do repowers so others could get home, this year it was our turn since it was the little guy's birthday. Many, many thanks to the drivers that are staying on the road to help us and others get home to family and friends.
