I spent the night in Baker City about a week and a half ago... rain there, snow on Meachem's Summit... they did have the roads cleared by morning.though.

We were coming out of Washington a couple of winters ago and it was snowing like crazy, roads getting covered fast, on the north side of Cabbage. Reached the crest, sun was shining and no snow!! Weirdest thing I ever saw.

    Yeah that's the funny thing.

Supposedly its nice and dry over Cabbage. But the 60 miles from Baker City through Ladd Canyon and Meacham Summit is a mess.

It's pretty nice here in Baker too.

Ol' man winter sure is fickle.

    KMac and Barracuda905 Thank this.

Not yet. But soon. I see a lot of T2000's preped and ready to drive off to the dealers. That always preceeds the new trucks arriving.

Well, I made it down that hill. At no time did I exceed 15 mph. It's posted at 20 for trucks. I was white knuckling it the wholexway. Made it to the pilot. On the way down the hill the repower guy called and got ignored, then he sent a Qc which asked me to call. Then he called me as I was waiting in a line to get into the pilot so I answered. I told him it was nasty and I was about to shut myself down due to weather, but I told him to let me go inside and scan in the three trips I had and I'd call him back in a few. While I was inside the temp shot up from 34 to 41. So I. Called him back and said give me the details, I'll run it for you.
So here I am in Syracuse after picking up the load in New Milford off a driver who had already shut himself down after fishtailing on a bridge. It got warmer the further I went.

My first solo week miles were 2975. Not bad for sitting most of two days. I just got a 1700 mile pp from near here to Ft Worth that will probably be what gets me home. I'm thinking swap with someone in Ottawa, Il. Or thereabouts.

Homeward bound and should get there well before Wednesday.

Jeez, I am sitting with a T2000 with 512,000 miles... I am guessing it will be sold or traded soon?

You're in New York and heading to Ft Worth? If so Ottawa is probably a little out of route..

Well, they will find a way to get me home. I have faith. I could have a Navigo malfunction, my laptop could die and I could lose my atlas then oops, I'm right there at the house by accident. Waka waka.
