Home at last. I got to Americold a couple of hours early in Cedar Rapids last night and they gave me a door right away. They don't start unloading until eight but I was out in forty five minutes. Home by ten thirty. Happy dance! I'll be home for a week.

I send QC to DM to make sure he is aware... send a mac 8 he says... Mac 8 - reason for delay... Me- poor load planning... probably didn't make any friends there... but sometimes the truth is the truth... 5 hrs to get unloaded in Philly AND drive 250.miles miles to a Walmart DC in VA and not be late?

LOL, we've been saying the same thing for 4 years!! At least they didn't schedule your appointments all a day apart, that's what usually happens with us. Deliver, drive 30 miles, wait til the next day.

Well it turns out that the order for the 680's is yet to be placed. Asked Cat the other day and she simply sighed and said, "They aren't ordered yet."
We still have some Petes on order, yet to come in. But that's about it.

    TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

So this Walmart delivery, that was a third stop and as I started telling them was going to be a problem before I left the shipper, not to mention sent multiple QC messages, and numerous voice mails yesterday... because we all know how Walmart is, this delivery that was apparently planned to be late, I get here this morning, I get a phone number, from the guard to call and see if they can take me... I call, to early for frozen they tell me... they tell me call back after 2:30 and tell me who to speak to. At 1:30 I get a QC message telling me Walmart won't take me until Monday.
    :
5 days on a 500 mile run? Yeah, I don't think so... after sending a reply telling them exactly what I thought of a 5;day 500 mile run... (well not exactly what I thought... I cleaned up the colorful metaphors) I called and spoke to the contact anyway... I am now sitting in the bobtail lot as the trailer is being unloaded... Obviously if you need a situation handled, better take care of it yourself... not much help or support coming from Dallas... two days they had to address this... it took two phone calls.

That's a #### shame... so two repowers to "help out" and this planned failure of a run gives me a little over 900 miles for 5 days...ask me again why I didn't sign up for alliance... and those "can you help us out repowers... yeah, that won't be happening again if this is the end result.

lesson learned grasshopper. Yes one has to handle those situations yourself. Depending on Dallas will leave you sitting for days.

And then they wonder why drivers refuse to help out with repowers.
