I am on trainee/trainee so the standard $350. But had someone from the repair shop been able to get a decision maker on the phone we would have turned a 48 hour delay into less than 8 hours. I hope the phone issues are resolved soon. The silver lining. I got a 34hr reset and 0 impact on my pocketbook.

Doesn't matter when you get your first truck. You are at the bottom of the heap.
If you're ready for time off, take it, then go out. Usually they give you your truck, dispatch you and as long as the sun rises in the west, send you home promptly.

I'm sitting in Columbia, NJ at the TA and it's trying to snow. My load delivers on the 26th and I'm hoping the weather cooperates so I can run over there that morning. 268 miles from final. Hope I can get something going south after that.

From what I have read, the pay for the first year is lacking...What can a driver expect to net the first year and then subsequent years thereafter?

    Thanks for the quick reply...
Was that <100k for the first year, or for years after that. What would be realistic for the 1st year and then each year after that?
