After that the sky is the limit dpending on where you work and the commodity you haul. Liquid bulk hauling pays way more that tugging a reefer.

 

Well, you get .26 per mile for your first three months, then it jumps to .28, 3 months later .29 and then at a year you are making .30. You get a .01 raise every year after that until you hit max, not sure what it is. If you run say 100K the first year 25K @ .26 + 25K @ .28 + 25K @ .29 + 25K @ .30 = $28250. Of course these aren't real world numbers, You will probably run more miles on average at the end of the year than the beginning, not a calendar year, but based on your solo date. 100K is also probably a bit low, but I don't have any real stats to base that on. If you actually averaged 2500 a week all year and never broke down or went on home time you would rack up 130K. At .30 that's $39,000. Maybe some long timers here can let us know what yearly miles a driver can pull down. That will give you something real to look at.

Your math is off a bit, you won't make the. 30 until after your first year, also you are forgetting that $350 a week training wages... that is about 9 weeks on average.

 

I figured I was off there, I didn't want to mess with training wages, that's why I based it off of solo date, that's when you start making milage pay, and when they count from for raises. I only made it to the second tier last time I was here but they bridged my employment when I came back so I kind of skipped all that this time around. That's one thing that makes going through the whole training thing all over again worth while.

Rolled on into my 5:00 appt at 4:30... I was parked about 2.5 miles away at a small truckstop. Place is rather empty and with good reason... they are closed today. Guard informs me of this, he checks my appt is at 0500 tomorrow. I double check the QC message I listened to yesterday that clearly stated my appt. is 0500 on 12/26...

Doh!

Yo Em, So.....My APU might have ran my truck out of fuel while sitting on the yard. When I pulled it into the safety lane they put it out of service for some minor things. Should I call into road rescue and let them know about the fuel situation or will they figure it out when they go to make the minor repairs?
