Finally, done with dumb and dumber. Heading to Dallas tomorrow. No more driving a tractor with a comittee onboard. Solo here I come. Finally grad fleet. Hopefully I'll get a nice, big fat T2000, just like me.

The T-2000's are becomming more and more rare. They comprise less than 15% of our fleet now.

In that case, I hope I get one with a very short wheelbase.
Speaking of which, I saw a very nice Argosy for sale. Rebuilt engine, DEF upgrade, nice cab. Would Stevens mind if I bought her and used it as an O/O? Or do I have to buy one of their tractors? -
As far as I know they have some kind of time frame age wise, plus the rig needs to pass their inspection, but we do have O/O with their own trucks they bought elsewhere.

Hope we didn't cause you an extra headache, had to cancel a repower we had agreed to do. We were supposed to repower in OKC tonight to go to Vernon, but we got held up in Knoxville @ the Petro having service done. And then Hubby picked up a 'stomach bug' or food poisoning. No way I can do a 24hr straight thru run solo.

520,000 miles on the T2000 I am and as soon as the shop gets around to doing a level 2 PM I am heading out in it again. My fear is they are going to sell it before my next 90 day visit which will of course necessitate another trip.to.the yard.
I really don't mind hanging on to it, especially now that I have heat from the apu... but if i am getting called back in a few weeks I would rather switch now. Oh well, what can you do? -
Escape from Dallas!!!
And I only had to go trough 4 separate loads to find a trailer not out of service. -
Surprised they didn't have you grab the load then take the trailer directly to the garage to get it serviced. We have done that several times to get an empty.

They stopped building the Argosy several years ago and I think Stevens has a 5 yr age limit. Plus, have you ever driven a cabover? There is a reason they stopped making them.

Back in the saddle, got a short run Friday from the yard to Denver. Unloaded this morning and now I sit @ the TA waiting for dispatch to deadhead me to either Lexington or Kansas without a load assignment. Lucky for me I'm not turning in any trips yet so that won't be a big deal. Seems par for the course every time I come to Denver. I apologize TH if I came off ####y, it's in my nature lol. I am not naive to know that there will be some slow times in this business. I'm just going to do what I can do to stay in the green and keep the wife happy.
At least I got a good signal on my TV and get to watch some football. So I'm not really concerned on being pro active right now to get dead headed to the meat patch.
Happy Trucking and be safe!
