Day one of grad fleet, solo driver first time. Pre-alliance dm.
Deadhead to tyson fresh meat, amarillo. Pu load for LA, deliver tomorrow pm.
Arrive at Amarillo, shut down due to hours. Asked why not loaded and running yet.
I am lost here. How can I arrive at Amarillo ts with 15 minutes remaining on time, shut down for hrs, and still get muliple qcom messages asking why not loaded and running?
Talk to dispatch, informed qcomm has computer glitch, disregard mulitple queries for running status. Also informed that preplan load number assigned to me was for deadhead from dallas yard to 'rillo to get empty trailer there.
Sitting here waiting for hours to reset, asked by dispatch if possible to pu load today and still make LA pm delivery on time? Tomorrow.
Am I missing something here? -

You were to take your mty out to the Tyson plant and drop it. Then give the PU# to see if it is ready.
Now it could have been what is called a dummy load. That is just to get you from point "A" to point "B". When you get an actual load, the deadhead miles are added to that load. -
no not missing anything, welcome to the meat patch, and either the load is late, or you wait for 3 days to pick it up.

Is only 8 hrs to amarillo, but earlier in Dallas yard, I moved some other trailers around town for local jobs.
Point is, I was out of hours by time arrived ts amarillo.
Just been informed load I was to pick up here is missing. Guard at Tyson says load picked up yesterday. Dispatch says no, still on tyson yard. -
Welcome to trucking. They will either get it figured out or put you on another load out of there. If they keep bugging you, gently remind them that dispatch is their job, not yours. I'm here in Rayville, LA on a Tyson load that doesn't pick up until 2100 tomorrow. So I am sitting at the Pilot an hour away so I have a handy bathroom etc. I already called the plant to make sure the load wasn't ready early. It does happen occasionally. I'll roll over there early tomorrow and shut down again. I don't have a dld dld on this load yet but if its ready on time it has 5 days to get up by San Francisco. I probably won't get to run this in as my qualification cards expire in a few days and I'm going right by the yard. Can you say repower by trainee team?

Anyone else having a QC issue? Has been at least four hours the no signal light has been on. Parked and got the keep paper logs notification.
