The sad thing is when I picked this trailer up at JBS there was a tech fixing the TK unit that would not stay running.

Might be time for this trailer to take a trip back to Dallas.

Quick question about the batteries on a T700. My apu wont start, can I still run a electric heater overnight without draining the tractor batteries so low that they wont start the tractor engine in the morning?

    Thanx... :biggrin_25511:
Headed to Americold for pm delivery. Standing by in Sweetwater for tonight.

Probably not, but do you have a set of jumper cables? If so you can jump it from the reefer. If not get some.

If you need to idle the truck and do not have cruise control, set the trailer brakes and release the tractor brakes and.the truck.will not shut off.!

Not likely. We had a 12v cooler that drained our batteries when the APU went out, I think a heater would drain even quicker.

How much do you make now? They are a training company and have one of the lower pay scales out there. They do have miles.

With 16 years experience, you should have no trouble getting a job with a company that pays more. I'd check out Crete or Poly Trucking. Poly is in Grand Prairie, and they start at .48 per mile, on the hub. From what I've heard, they're a pretty good company. As Fozzy says, Stevens is a training company. They will not pay you what you're worth.
