I got very lucky with the meeting the trainer portion... the trainer was a jack ###... but we finished the school on Friday and I was assigned to him right away. Met him at the Kroger across from America's Worst on Sat a.m. 5 weeks later on Sunday he dropped me off right back at America's worst.

lol..yeah that was a bonus then..minus the jack ### part... the few that left were smokers who had smoking trainers on the yard ready to go go go ..one was a female who went with a male trainer, but since they both smoked, it was all good... we thought our class was huge...it really is and almost half are still here with the morning grab your bags shuffle just to load and unload at 1700 to do it all over, the class that came into today is bigger, I have no doubt that a good percentage of our class will blend in with theirs for waiting for a truck. especially when they came in and said airline tickets are too high. well they will be high over the next 2 weeks/ and even higher one way so they can make up the lost revenue from spring break..tomorrow they told us we have to get off bus and pack into the non smoking drivers lounge because the classrooms will be filled...lol this will be fun

I would get the name and phone number of the Stevens doctor and call him. I would speak with him personally and ask him what he thinks and what he will need from you. Better to be prepared than being sent home on day1. I know that Stevens is really anal about previous head injuries.

You can park on the street in front of Sysco in Fremont. Its 5-7 miles from Milpitas depending on which part of town Kraft is in.

Always lots and lots of trucks parked there waiting to deliver at Sysco.

Not the ideal parking place bit about as good as you're gonna get in that area.

The inmates are running the asylem!
Some of this weekend's passing incidents:
"I can't take that load. It's too long a run. I only need 800 miles." (it was a bit over 1200 miles, 2 1/2 days, one drop)
"I have to stay at a Loves before delivering that one. I won't stay at Loves." (He gave up the load, a bit over 900 miles, two days)
"I can't do that one. I'd have to run off my recap hours and it's just too hard." (2100+ miles, 4 days, two drops)
"I hate running on the 10 (I-10). Too many idiots down there." (LA to Jacksonville, FL)
From a driver in Maine: "I don't want that load. It's only 400 miles. I can't live on that." (trip to Jersey with preplan from Palmyra to Ogden) He opted to deadhead to Avon NY for a load to Atlanta. Total trip? 6 days. (he's Alliance!)
I won't go into the drivers that burnt loads and there is no repercussion.
I know some of you got caught in all that blizzard. We spent most of our time trying to figure out how to get loads moving again, but everytime we did, another band of snow messed everything up.
Monday morning will greet the DMs with a most impossible situation and some really grumpy people... Beware!

Anybody know if we can deliver earlyto Sysco? I'm gonna be most of a day early. Then I'm supposed to be headed to the yard. Do we even have loads to or through Dallas from Olathe, KS?
