I am willng to go just about anyplace. Yes I prefer to be kept out of the NE but hey if thats all they have and its more miles to rack Ill do it. I am still waiting on my load to Adak Alaska. Lately I have tried to look more at where the load is gonna put me in relation to freight coming out of the area and where those runs typically go. Seems to be a complex formla to this lol

Just a reminder on repower etiquette, Dont trust the other driver when it comes to weights. I got the big BOHICA last night after believing he slid the tandems but didnt reweigh cuz he knew he was in the ball park 44K load, trailer in 5th hole, and his weight ticket showed 35700 on his drives, Gut told me to weigh out, and dang if I wasnt pretty close on my drives, Jockeyed the tandems all the way forward, played with the fifth wheel, got myself to 12360 steers, and 34600 on the drives. Of course every coop was open today and of course I got the red light to get weighed again at every stinking one of em. Fortunately the road gods took pitty on me today and no one wrote me for over. A lot more to the story of the repower but Im not gonna trash talk. At any rate, beware of scale tickets that are not within parameters and always ask for the copy or at least to see the thing and verify trailer number dates etc that it makes sense for that load. Cheers

BOHICA... LMAO, haven't heard that one in a long time...

I scale every load and I do adjust but normally do not reweigh if I just need to slide the tandems a few holes, and when handing off the load I give a copy to the other driver but stress to him that the trailer is now set up for my tractor, a T2000 with the 5th wheel placement where it is. His may be different. I I can't help that. Some trucks are heavier than others.

I have found a blackhole in Ohio, called Perrysburgh. Near Toledo. Five repowers in three days. Loaded to Etobicoke, Toronto, through Detroit, out to Avon NY, customs is a joy, 200 miles in three days.

Just finished another month gradfleet, coming up on my 90 days on the road. Informed by DM they want me for Alliance class after my time off. Hmmmmm?

Just left Restaurant Depot in Maryland, 1/2 hour early show up, six hrs to unload two pallets.
Released into DC rush hour traffic, heading to Milton W Va. Stuck here with no ts in sight, park at hotel, nice shower, good meal, late for final, but dispatch is mad at RDepot for being weird. They didnt know what a seal record was or how it worked. I used to be a teacher, but dont have the patience anymore.

Goodnight, eight minutes on hos, pti done. Trailer passed ok, found three this time out with expired inspection stickers, or missing lugnuts. Sometimes I fear doing pti, what am I going to find wrong next?

    Goodnight all.

Quite often I sit a minimum of one to two days a week waiting on loads or to unload average is about 3. It is quite upsetting as we are paid by the mile not the hour.

I have had a very different experience. In my 8 months solo with Stevens I have done a total of 4 resets on the road,.

I believe a lot of it is a matter of being in the right place at the right time. I sat in Holcomb once for two days with no assignment, bit that was the worst.

I use to do the same thing with Werner and they can't understand why drivers get mad and don't think they have a reason to be mad.Its like why cant companies time it right like give you small loads rather then make you sit and sit.

small loads is not Stevens' business model. What it all comes down to for an OTR driver is how much money did you make?
Usually that's tied to the miles you drive. So You run a couple 1200 mile loads in a week as opposed to eight 300 mile loads.
Everyone has a different want that twirls his propeller.
Steven's loads tend to be longer and fewer.

Sitting at Yumacool waiting for loading to commence. Been in the door for an hour and a half. Standing on the doc for the first hour. This placexwas very slow last time as well. I will once again need to take my break in their dirt lot once I finally get loaded.
