I might be thinking of Haslett, it's a small one, Shell I think.

 

Oh yeah... I forgot about that one. I believe its at 287 and Bus 287. There is also an Exxon (?) across 287 that has some truck parking.

 

Well, the wife is getting on the truck. She is coming up from Houston tomorrow and getting a room at the Super 8 just down South Fwy from Target, so after I deliver I can go park there. They assure her there is truck parking, and the lot does look fairly substantial.

 

As nice as it would be to get a bonus for that...

Why should we receive a bonus for doing what we're supposed to? It's kinda like getting paid by your parents for getting passing grades in elementary school.

 

I know it's too late for this particular load...but there's a McDonald's on the corner of Soto and Bandini...less than a mile from Randall Foods in Vernon if you've ever delivered there...that has about 25 truck parking spots (there's even a yellow sign under the golden arches that says "Truck Parking"). I've used it on a few occasions when faced with the "Ontario or Castaic" decision.

 

only because it makes the companies CSA score better. Some companies do reward drivers that pass a level one, maybe it's called bribery?

 

Parking in Denver sure sucks... got to the flying J in Aurora around 10:20... lot full..., onward to TA in Commerce City... Lot full, onward to Sapp, finally found a spot... WTF? It's Sunday morning. In the evening I have always stayed at tue Arrowhead and ran in from there. May do that everytime. That was a wasted 40 minutes of drive time.

We all know too well how bad this area gets when it is foggy. People go far too fast for conditions through there and unfortunately this scene has been played out too often. Prayers to all involved.
