Butkus and Bella... love the names!
Just wondering, is the change in the 34 reset going to affect him? I was listening to the Radio and a caller who hauls fuel, and is home nightly said it is going to royally screw him. As it is now he works Monday to Sat afternoon, then takes Sunday off, starts his week again around 2am on Monday to beat the traffic, he lives and works in Baltimore. With the new rule requiring two periods of 1 am to 5 am he can no longer work that schedule and is going to lose miles and time on one end or the other. I can see very well how that can affect a local driver, bit was wondering how your Hubby sees it affecting a regional job like he has.
Sounds like you guys are happy. Glad to hear it.

Does anyone else here think the slow down in posts might be that Emul has answered all the questions and addressed every concern we have?

On my second week training at Stevens, I will say things are going on smoothly. For new drivers who want to join Stevens, please check your Blood Pressure, Sugar level before you come or they will send you home. Seriously, don't waste your time riding in the Greyhound knowing you got some health issues that you are hiding, it will come out.
Corporal_Clegg, KMac and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
Even before himself started with Stevens, I would see Stevens trucks few times a week during my to-ing and fro-ing from work. So its struck me as odd that I have seen exactly zero in the past month.
Probably sounds weird, but it reassures me when I see a Stevens truck. Situation normal. Fill in the rest.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -

Phones must be improving.
Last night I picked up the call four different times and the person commented, "First ring! Wait...I'm not ready. Thought I'd have plenty of time..."
The best response was what sounded like someone spitting a drink out their nose when I answered, "this is *******, how can I abuse you?"
"Man! That ain't fair. My nose is going to hurt for an hour!"
I don't think the que was backed up more than 3 calls all night. Most of the time there was no backup.
It really helps to have another person in there now.
And the second safety person is making a lot of difference.
Hang in there people...we're working hard to improve service for you!

Doing my first nursery stock load. Ow. I'm getting too old for this stuff. 3 More drops to go, SLC tomorrow, then two in CO the day after. There must be a better way to get the blocking 2x4's at the back out, took me half an hour with a utility knife, roofing hammer and small pry bar. Maybe a sawsall?
