NOTHING 'blocks out' lot lizards. Curtains WILL give you a sense of privacy, help muffle some of the noise and block out the light (especially if you are driving nights & sleeping days). Lot Lizards are not deterred by curtains, signs, stickers, ANYTHING. If they are roaming, they are going to be knocking on doors. You will learn which truck stops are 'safe' from of Lot Lizards and which are not.

Had to laugh when "Jill" tried to send me the wrong way down a one way street today. I have also known her to tell me I was headed in the wrong direction when I started to back into a dock.

The best thing we can do with 'Jill' is beat it with a tire billy.
The things that POS does, would blow your mind.
    Example:
    Last night a driver called:
"I need a new fuel stop."
"Let's see...you're in PA headed to your final in the Bronx, right?"
    "Right."
"How much fuel do you have?"
    "About 5/8ths"
I'm impressed he's asking now, rather than being in the Bronx complaining his red light is on.
I look at his present profile...his scheduled stop for fuel is in SOUTH CAROLINA!
"Am I seeing this right? You ARE in PA, right?"
"Yup, you're seing this right. Figured I'd better call to get another fuel stop so I can get to my fuel stop."
He was being sarcastic, of course, and we fixed that. However, Jill was at her best.
I see this all the time.
Another driver called sunday. Jill was routing her under a low bridge. Fortunately the driver stopped way ahead and asked for help.
    Never trust Jill.

I like the ones in Maxton by Campbells Soup. If you don't go for the older lady, she goes and gets her daughter.

Ok now I don't feel like what she did to me was the worst that could happen. Lol lesson learned.

Annoyance... Get load assignment... pick up tomorrow 0130... skeedadle to TS 1.5 miles from shipper, park, PTI, then force myself to sleep to try to switch to the night shift... about three hours in to it I am awoken by QC, "you have a new message" rub the sleep from my eyes read ;message, my appointment at the shipper is 0930...

Make up your mind... now I screwed my night time sleep pattern. Oh well, time for dinner I guess.
