Stevens Transport

Once you get cleared and you are waiting for your truck to be serviced then you start getting paid for time one the yard. But you have to get cleared first. I have pulled in on the yard on a Friday night and was cleared by noon Saturday. I never had any issues that ever held me up. If one were to have an accident or get a ticket then yes you would be there longer for the retraining. But all and all there is no reason for you to be there a couple days if your truck doesnt need work done. But you have to hussle.. Sign in one place if there is a line go try and get something else cleared then go back and check on the status of the line. If you need a class other than vdpd that can get done quikly.. If u need a safety talk and it is after hours you go see night safety and they can give it to ya at the dispatch window.

 

After reading this thread, all the going back and forth's and sometimes even off topic.. all I can say is the company I am with now is looking a lot better to me... thanks for the information about Stevens and the entertainment.

I work with new hires and rehires now. I see a lot of drivers comming in from other companies and a lot of drivers who left for greener pastures but thrn came back. Stevens is a training company you dont get a lot of experienced drivers because they know this. there is a high turn over also for that reason. I am not defending Stevens... It does have its problems.. But name one company that doesn't.
