Just wondering what he actually showed you, the settlement over the QC? I remember my alliance trainer showing me his, and now I know that he was showing me what was paid to the truck, before expenses, not what he was putting in his pocket. And since you signed up for Alliance, your trainer gets paid a bonus for you signing up.

I hope that you can make it work, there are some of us out here that do make it work.

You hit the head on the nail. I came through their program in 2003. They gave me chance when nobody else would. I agree, the training program is the best in the industry. By the time you're done, you are ready to get out there. :biggrin_2558:

read the Stevens threads. There are plenty of good points, amongst them is excellent training, fair treatment, good miles for good performers, good equipment, ongoing training and safety enhancements.
They pay about the same as other training companies to start, but in the long run are a little on the low side for company drivers.
They have a very good lease program and O/O program if you ever become interested.
They are financially stable. There is zero debt, are just now celebrating their 30th anniversary. Not a lot of companies can say that.
The equipment is up to date, well maintained and late model. (nearly everything now is 2008 and newer)
Maybe you have some specific questions you want to ask?

    JFlemons,

They only screw with the people who were dishonest on the applications, they send them home. It is a long lonely road to finish training, and your attitude will decide if you succeed or not.

Been reading this whole thread through and I want to thank everyone for their awesome inputs! I also would like to post my experience as it happens on here. My GF and I want to team and I'm pretty sure we are gonna go through Stevens b/c of the training. Neither of us have experience.

So how is Stevens as far as teaming is concerned? We were thinking if going to Millis but they don't run teams anymore; recruiter said anyway.

We don't have kids, could give a crap where we live, we just wanna run our arses off for a while, see the country and save up some cash to boot.

Oh yeah would it be a good idea to get our permits out here in NY first?
