Okay which is it? Stay for 1 yr and the loan is paid off, or 36 months? They must have changed a lot since i left It use to be if you drove for a year, or 12 months period your loan was wiped out with a zero balance.I stayed for 15 months loan was wiped clean with a zero balance. If your right than whats the whole ideal staying a year all about? Now get it right.

If you only stay a year your bill is not wiped out, you would still owe about 5200.00

The whole deal about staying a year is ... you are under contract to stay for a year. If you leave before the year is up, you can not go to another company, unless you pay off the ballance of the tuition.

I just had a class/meeting with the Hiring Manager yesterday and I wrote it all down.

Corporal is pretty much right. Now i dont know if it has changed, but i paid only 23 dollars a week for 30 months and Stevens paid the rest.I never even noticed it.It came right out of my settlements and i never gave it a second thought. It is as of now fully paid off,and Im doing fairly well here. Its a good fit for me.Now if you leave after a year, you cant expect Stevens to pay the balance on your loan if its a three year note and your no longer employed. If the recruiter (salesperson)told you that they should be fired.Good luck to you.

If you are drawing unemployment, check with your state Unemployment office. Some states will pay the entire amount for you to attend a local school to get your CDL

Emulsified is right.Best to try and pay your schooling up front, then get your training.Unfortunately I was unable to do that. But it has worked for me.I get treated well here.A good fit.

Well the website is misleading then. Quote
HOW MUCH WILL TRAINING COST ME?
The cost of your training- whether it be at Sevens Driving Academy, or elsewhere-Will be reimbursed by Stevens if you stay on the road for one full year.we also provide 100% financing for our students so there is no up-front cost to you.

You may want to really check with the person who told you that.I can remember on my pay check it would show a + 58.00 every, but if you quit it would show a negative on your last pay check week, and if you stayed the whole term of a year it never showed again,

Thanks for the updates, everyone. At least now I have a fairly good idea that this will take 3 years to pay off and the website is probably outdated. I didn't know what the truth was with inconsistent info from the website and recruiters and such.

For anyone currently in training or recently finished training, when do you start getting the $350/week pay? Is it right after the first orientation week? What if you don't have your CDL yet, is that part of that 9 week training program or additional weeks added to that amount and are you not paid until you get a CDL and start the real training? Thanks.
