Well, Stevens apparently has many many miles. We were delayed by a long unload, picked up our meat load and started running it towards San Antonio. This morning I left a message that I needed arrangements made to get me back to the yard so I can get home. When I got up later my trainer told me they were repowering our load as were not going to be able to get it there on time. Now we have a load going to CA! I need to be in IA no later than Saturady noon. We have been asking to get back to the yard for 2 weeks. I never heard back from my conselor today, so when I got done driving for the day I left a voice mail for her asking her to handle getting me back to the yard by tomorrow or back to IA by Saturday ASAP. I don't know if I should get off the truck here in Acoma, NM or what, no one there to help at night of course.

 

I think it's amazing when I can make a simple statement saying something is offensive and be immediately called a whiner. Sheesh. My feelings were NOT hurt. How could they be? You don't know me and I don't care about your opinion. I merely found the post offensive in that it implied all truckers' wives cannot be trusted. If you meant something else, the tone of the message did not get that across. So I was wrong about your intent ... I stand corrected. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm done with this particular string. My brother started this thread as a positive thing and now I've gone and helped make it not so positive, so I'll just go back to lurking in the shadows.

No need to go back to the shadows and lurk. Your voice and opinions are just as valid and need to be heard as anyone else's are. For the most part, your brother's thread IS positive and IS putting out needed info. Just having a small speed bump and "this to shall pass".

Fozzy, hope you make it home in time and that all goes well. Know that Kissy (hope thats right) must be dieing (not literally please) to see you and is probably on pins and needles waiting your arrival.

 

I actually thought today was Thursday. With it being Wednesday I can be back at the yaard tonight, take care of some errata there and be on the road tomorrow mid morning. Which will put me in sight of home sometime Friday depending on whether I drive over hours. (I know it doesn't apply when I'm driving my car).

 

I never called anyone in particular a name. But I can see it clearly now. Moral outrage sheesh.

 

How this came about? Hopefully friendly conversations with the dispatcher/counselor.
