yea the vision is 20/40 i beleive now. my eyes were terrible, i havent worn glasses since high school. she said to wear them everday and my eyes will build back up. but i will need them to drive, i told her thats fine with me. ill do anything to get this job.

 

I will say this much: I saw this thread and used it as part of the info I researched about the medicine I'm on. This thread, and in particular, the last post by a FORUM ADMINISTRATOR states that the drug is approved. I can most assuredly tell anyone that reads this that it is DEFINTELY NOT APPROVED BY ALL. I should know, it kept me from being qualified TODAY. I am now out of a job until further notice.

I will also say that I'm not depressed, nor do I have any problem sleeping. I am taking this medicine for an off-label use as prescribed by my doctor. That off-label use is not anywhere near as much of a problem for a truckdriver, nor as restrictive as the DOT or FMCSA's view of the actual traditional prescribed use of depression/sleep aid. It is also not a federally controlled substance in any way, other than it requires a script.

 

yea she nice as hell, i love her to death. just hope everyone at stevens is like that. i prolly talk to her 10 times a day lol. she never said anything about my driving record, i had a ticket back in 08 for speedin 10 over but she said that was ok. thats all on my record. i know in ohio after three years everything on ur driving record gets cleaned off as long as u dont get any other tickets. my last ticket was all the back when i was 18. thats not on my record. and the ticket that is on there i dont have any points on my liscense.

You only start on Sunday, as that other guy posted, if you are going to ORIENTATION. Meaning, if you have a CDL and are showing up for an actual job and not school. Orientation starts on Sundays. However, SCHOOL starts on Mondays. I was under the impression you were going to school, not ORI. They want you there on Sunday because the shuttle picks up the guys at the hotel starting at like 6am Monday morning. They want everyone in the school there at 7am and not one minute later. I walked in at 7:01am on Monday and they had already been going for 5 mins!

 

i am goin to school boog, im supposed to leave on sat morning to be there by sunday. my recruiter said since the holiday is monday that class wont start until tuesday. so i get there sunday that gives me the rest of the day sunday and monday to get settled in. which is nice for me. i doubt i sleep any on the #### greyhound bus. and it gives me a chance to study up more for my cdl permit.

 

and boog, that all depends if they accept my refrences i sent them yesterday, my recruiter said i should be fine. i hope so, im ready to head to texas.

 

stevens is really strict,if you r on anti depresants or ne thing like that they will fail you.although you can leagally drive a cmv even on percosets if it is totally necessary,stevens just dont play that .i was on antidepressions i just just chose not to tell them.good luck boog i hope you dont get discouraged.
ps. im not saying thats what your on but im just using it as an example
