    Playing the dangerous game of asking a 1 post for more info, but here goes...
    Where is this company out of? I've got a friend working for one Stidham Trucking out of Cali and curious to know if the same one.

    They have offered lease purchase for years. I talked to them on the phone and from that I decided to pass.

    I spent an hour on a job site with a Stidham driver last week, a serious intelligent young trucker that seemed to "get it"- here's what he told me;

    The company has been sold & is no longer owned by the Stidham family.

    The money part of the new ownership has no background in trucking- I may be wrong but I think the guy was in the clothing/apparel business.

    The member of the Stidham family that stayed on to run things has been fired and the new replacement has no background in the trucking business.

    I believe the driver said he was getting $.40 per mile, he did say freight is slow, he struggles to get over 1800 miles per week & they're doing more & more broker loads.

    He did say that he's happy with the equipment and they get him home faithfully every weekend as he requires. (That may have an impact on his low miles per week)

    I'd love to find a new carrier, but I'm not going to change unless the new gig is better than this one & I don't think Stidham qualifies, neither did their driver that I was talking to.

    REO6205 Thanks this.

    I'm guessing that driver has trouble getting miles because he needs to be home every weekend.
