NEVER BLIND SIDE UNLESS THERE IS NO OTHER WAY!
Use GOAL, even if you have to get out and look after every foot you back up, use a gound guide too but make sure the gound guide knows what they are doing and make sure you get your signals down between you and the gound guide first,,

    Unless
you're one of those people who likes to be prepared. Sooner or later you're going to have to. Better to be comfortable with it before you have to do it off a busy street IMO.

    Flashdrive7 and Lepton1 Thank this.

When I worked at McLane I had to back a 53 into places made for straight trucks and cars like gas stations, walgreens, etc. With that said I avoided blind siding like the plague. If I had to go around and face the opposite way of traffic so I can sight side back in I would do so... Slowly and safely. Don't depend on people 100%, especially dock workers their not a truck driver, you are.

But if you absolutely have to blind, then take your time, relax, ignore others just looking at you, open your window and stick your head out every so often. Also GOAL. If it takes you 20 minutes then so be it.
