So drive the #### 17 miles. Make ypur delivery while in off duty status. By the time delivery is finished, you should have the rest of your hours back. Monday when safety says something (If they do) Tell them you drove to the closest safe haven. If they don't like it they can put it on your permanent record. Also ask them for 3 days notice, so tou can start your new job. A day after you quit this one.

He is right. That would be using PC to advance the load not seek a safe haven.

Elogs were mandated January 1st of this year. Had to be set up a long time before that. Even you admit that.

The FMCSA was tasked with coming up with an ELD mandate in July of 2012. Since that time the industry knew it wasn’t if they were coming but when they were. Then we all act surprised in 2017 after 5 years of knowing they were on the way. OOIDA challenging the original mandate when it was for bad actors only was the dumbest thing they’ve ever done.

I've deleted some posts in this thread because they were political in nature. Please keep politics out of the main forum. Thanks.

Pointing out the dates legislation was passed for ELDs is somehow political. And the other one was pointing out the ignorance of blaming one president or another for elogs.

    Just wow.

    Yep I am out.

The good thing about these threads is it shows how popular cheating was before elogs.

And I know when I first started driving I would really cheat and then spend hours creating a legal log book
