Stll having big problems downshifting

    I down shift to slow down all the time, why would you not, but then I buy my own brake shoes too. lol

    I guess I have driven grossly wrong for over 40 years, and will just keep on keeping on.
    how do you down shift going down a 10% or better grade, without using your left foot on the brake, just asking?
    These are nothing like driving a car with an auto, I do not use my left foot in any type of 4 wheeler, unless I am floating gears.

    When I was taught to drive that was the biggest no no. They would still it into our heads that brakes are cheaper than clutches. I don't think any of us listened but they tried lol.

    Well, my truck would be what you call in severe duty use, and I have a little over 700,000 on the clutch, so I am money ahead I reckon. lol
