My wallet was stolen from my truck while I was sleeping IN THE TRUCK last night !! I'm nearly 100% certain because I had my wallet out to look at my fuel cards before I went to bed and didn't leave the truck. While I was looking for it this morning I noticed a bowl I left on the seat was on the floor by the driver's door and then I noticed the driver's door was open a crack, not latched. I believe I left the wallet on the seat by that bowl. That was probably also a mistake, from now on I am stashing my wallet, phone, and any other valuables in a sleeper cabinet or something before I go to sleep. Guess I'll have to look into those screen inserts for my windows too or else close them.
I guess it's my fault for not locking and rolling up windows. It was at Dwight, IL at the Pete's Restaurant parking lot. I got my cards shut off and it doesn't look like any charges were made on them so I'm hopeful maybe they just took the cash and dropped the wallet somewhere. I'm also lucky I still have my driver's license. But passport, fuel cards, rewards cards, hotel cards, business cards......... gonna be an ongoing headache for the next couple months getting all these replaced.
Be careful out there !!

I lost my wallet once.I use a chaindrive one now.Wherever I go ,my wallet goes.If you dont want to sit on it,then you just let it hang ,and when you try to get out the truck, you will be reminded to grab it.

I can't believe you slept ANYWHERE with door windows open. I open sleeper windows and might crack door windows an inch or less. If that's not enough I'm idling. Diesel is like beer and cigarettes-they will always make more.

When I drove for Stevens, I kept my fuel card, license and medical card separate from my wallet. One time while at the old T/A in Atlanta. I called and cancelled my credit cards. A week later my fleet manager called me ans said someone mailed my wallet to Stevens Transport having found the terminal address on a business card. It was intact, even had a few dollars inside.
