Hmmm... and how long til folks start getting tickets in the mail for averaging 2mph over between lights?

Good idea in theory. But I can see that getting abused.

Let me guess, they'll be getting the ELD info from Highway after they've sold it to municipalities?

Oxbow, 86scotty, gentleroger and 5 others Thank this.

If you think they won't screw this up think again!

Look at how nany stupid intersections they create on a regular basis now.
Let's stop 20 vehicles on a seconds notice to let one move out and we already have the sensors, cameras in the ground and on the poles!

The dumbest, most incompetent person I ever had the displeasure of meeting and trying to work with was a traffic engineer.

This seems like a waste of funds. I can understand folks trying something.....I just laugh because that extra 5 to 7 on a green light is really going to keep trucks moving. My load is going to get there so much faster now. I can't wait. If one green light don't get you, the next one will. I guess the government don't think there larger priorities.

I've noticed over the last couple years a couple intersections where one way will start to turn yellow/red and the opposite direction will stay green. Usually when the green side is going to get a green left turn arrow...
I almost t-boned a guy probably 4 years ago where this happened. Guy sat in the intersection until I was right there then turned rigjt in front of me thinking my side was also turning yellow.
I had a green light and when I went thru intersection I noticed in my mirrors the opposite way was yellow then red... thought to myself someone is going to die right there eventually because of that stupidity

It’s bad enough how this effects the 4 wheelers, but the lack of consistency makes driving ahead and planning for things next to impossible and someone thinks you can stop from 50 to zero with a loaded truck in 1 second on a wide open road near me. I watched a school bus driver scare all the kids on the bus the other day trying to stop and she wasn’t even doing more than 40.
