No just making observations. I have lived on and off in Canada since 2008. In that time I have lived close to two 1st nation communities. My partner's son was in a relationship with one from another. a friend worked for the government in 1st nation liason. I have seen they way they live, talked to quite a few. Not impressed by their attitude to work, life here, the government etc.

Don't change the fact that your willing to work for peasants wage. Why don't you start your hen house empire again. Maybe you could find some TFW's to do your building.

I have just been offered a job starting in Oct as a tank driver in alberta. Oct to April. I will earn between $100,000-$120,000 in that period. A little more than minimum wage! And all summer off to go sailing.

But I would work for minimum wage if I had to. Have done in the past. Needs must when the devil calls! Isn't working for minimum wage better than starving to death? What would you rather have me do? Claim welfare? Go out on the streets begging? Rob little old ladies?

And I should also point out that my job in alberta pays that kind of money because they can't find a driver to do it for less, actually they can't find any drivers which is why they are willing to sponsor me which involves significant upfront costs to them.

I suppose but the thing is in the late 1980s $100 000 was easy with a oil company or a brewery or other private fleets. So 25 years no raise.

The Honourable Thomas Lukaszuk, Alberta Minister of Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour is pleading to the public on behalf of McDonald's, A&W, Timmy's and Subway after the Honourable Jason Kenney, Federal Minister of Employment and Social Development and Minister for Multiculturalism kaiboshed the Temporary Foreign Worker Program for fast food slavery. Get this:

Lukaszuk says Alberta truck drivers will starve to death without Temporary Foreign Workers and McDonalds must be saved!

Dear Thomas Lukaszuk, Alberta truck driver's health will improve immensely if McDonald's et al are bulldozed immediately!

    Commence the bulldozing!
