I call BS!! Most of those costs are borne by the TFW themselves by the fees THEY pay and the rest comes straight off their measly pay cheque. Then they have to live in high cost Canada on peanuts.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
Don't. Our economy dropped another 50,000+ jobs last month. We don't need another mouth to feed.
-
Another mouth to feed = more goods needed to be produced = more trucks delivering the goods = better economy
Maybe I´ve misunderstood the basics of capitalism ? Where there is demand, there will be supply .. that`s what they thought me in college. -
Ignorance is bliss, a TFW is not eligible for government handouts at all.
-
What about those with landed immigrant status?
-
I know companies that are turning away work and have trucks parked because they can't find decent drivers. In Canada a GOOD truck driver willing to work will NEVER need you or anybody else to 'feed' them. If spacemonkey knows his way around a truck, takes care of his equipment and wants to work, he will have no trouble finding work at least in Northern Alberta/BC. Don't know about the rest of the country.spacemonkeypg Thanks this.

I surely hope yer not actually serious...or is this how you really think? You think that more people = better economy whether employed or not?? Is that why the US is in such great shape now cause they have all those people even though a major chunk of the population is unemployed???
-
That is not what I said. More working people = yes. TWP can`t be unemployed, otherwise they will send you out of the country. Or is it not so ?
But even unemployed person needs to eat ... (don´t take it too seriously
)
I think these emotions come down to trucking in general. Optimism doesn`t seem to go with this proffession anywhere around the world.
Anyway I wanted to ask what would you guys consider a good wage nowadays in this proffession in Canada ? I mean if you would make that kind of money in trucking that you wouldn´t care if there are immigrant drivers coming or not ? What would be the number to "keep your mouth shut" ? (out of curiosity, everyone has a price) -
I call BS to this too. I hear this all the time. Name them and I will follow up to see how many trucks they have sitting.
In Canada a "GOOD" truck driver is a driver that another company has trained up at their own expense. That's "GOOD." -
Yes...you clearly have.
