these people spam craigslist every day for months on end. you really have to have a few screws loose to sign on to a company that does that. i honeslty cant stand western express drivers. espically throughout conneticut. middle lane road hogs who refuse to move no matter what. i just laugh tho because i know they aint making any money and are miserable

 

i drove for western express for 9 months. started at 26 cpm. after 3 months got 29 cpm. i left and went to metropolitan a bigger nightmare. my dm was new and not seasoned yet. at the start i was running good loads and making decent money. then it fell off after four weeks. it went to hurry up and wait. they told me they were lite on freight! what a crock of ####.

 

If the speed limit on 95 N is 55 mph then why complain when the big truck is in the middle lane doing the speed limit. Western express is a great company when your starting out or back for a refresher. If your license is questionable or your CSA score is problamatic one would have a better chance getting hired with them than some companies. Flatbed is better than dry van. You actually work for your money and you actually can get back into shape doing it instead of being a fat biscuit eating steering wheel holder.

 

$.26 per mile ? Were you fresh out of school ?

 

Too many speed freaks bird doggin cars and other big trucks out there. These morons get angry and switch lanes without using signals and don't give at least 100 ft. clearance when they change lanes. These are the first meatballs who are quick to turn into radio rambo's , gangsters or wanksters , what ever you want to call them. They are not going to kill anyone or let anything die let alone seeing the inside of a prison cell. Bad drivers screw it up for good drivers. There is no load that important that you have to jeopardize everyone else's safety.

 

That is a load of crap. When I worked ar Fedex Freight I had almost 60% of the drivers wt my trrminal ready to go union. I called and e-mailed the local and national offices. And what they reply...we are not interested in Fedex. I was lime wtf. Here I was giving you first of many drivers and a silver plater and you not interested. That said everything to me. They don't care about the people.

I AGREE they're scrapin the bottom of the barrel for work-broker loads...AND hometime macro has been removed from thier screens.

 

so as a new driver western express is not the place to go all you pros out there wont give a new guy a chance,we all have to start somewhere i am sure some of you guys when you started sucked in the beginning so why talk smack on a company that will give a new driver a shot like i said got to start somewhere...
