A straight truck is all one piece. A combo is a "semi", consisting of a separate power unit and trailer.

Thanks. I didn't know if it was referring to doubles and triples.

There is also a truck and trailer like in my picture. A lot of west coast terminals run these because it's cheaper and better to get into the old stations with. People from the east coast do not run this set-up and most misquote and say they are doubles when in fact they are not.

The truck has a tank that is fixed to the power unit and can not be removed. Then the truck pulls a trailer. We could load up to 12,450 gallons on the truck and trailer with a total of 5 compartments, 2 on the truck and 3 on the trailer in Nevada. AZ and CA would not allow us to run the Nevada trucks so we had to pull the smaller trucks for our loads in AZ. The Trucks were permitted yearly and after you get over the size they were very easy to drive and back-up.

    bottomdumpin and lagbrosdetmi Thank this.
