When I read your story I immediately thought of "Ice Road Truckers" great documentary can only imagine how hard it would be to run freight all the way up there having to cross the US/Canada border and how much snow and moose you'd encounter along the way. Between December - March your best running below the I-40 with Freight hope things work out for you.

Maybe that's why we haven't heard from the OP....

As I understand the OP doesn't work for a trucking company. He works for something more like a construction company that infrequently moves their own trailers. That's why finding another load isn't as easy for a trucking company. OP also reported his company got him a hotel room and his fuel card is working fine and they had a plan to get him home. I think they also sent him money. I'm sure no matter how well they treated the driver someone would still recommend walking away from the company. I would usually recommend NOT WALKING AWAY if at all possible. Some drivers wake up every morning ready to quit and they just haven't found the reason yet. Other drivers won't leave until the company take away the keys to their truck. Everyone else is somewhere between both extremes. The OP has way more info than we do. He seemed level-headed.

Wow just read this thread. Sure hope OP comes back and updates us. What a mess. I wouldn’t have stuck it out three weeks. My wife would have come and picked me up before she would let me do that lol.

I was only joking in my last post on this thread.. Texan to Texan, get back here and find a trucking job that has a terminal close to where you live... If you have all your endorsements then that search gets a lot easier.. I know you're trying to do right by you're company but I doubt they care, trucking can be ruthless... All The Best..

To me it sounds like another driver thay dont stick up for himself and let companies walk all over them.. who the hell is gonna sit in a truckstop for 3 weeks straight with no work. Even prisoners live better than that.

I don't venture out of the U.S. anymore, so an encounter with me would be unlikely.
