Me? Just truckin' and making the big money.....:yes2557: How's things in Kolleefornia? I was fortunate enough to spend part of the weekend at the Flying J in San Antonio, then I'm off to.....West Palm Beach.....:biggrin_2551: This time of year the weather'll be nice enough that the local "sights" will be abundant. Yep, it's a rough job, but someone's gotta do it, right?:yes2557:

Lol all these Californians talking about cold weather....probably think 20 degrees is cold too. Sad, lol.

I agree that if possible, I too would like to just skip chaining up...but in my case, Im under strict time constraints to get the freight delivered. Granted, if the chain law is in effect, Ill slap em on and let the office know so I won't be dinged as late...but I still need to keep on rollin.

I carry at least 4 2x4's for a similar reason. More often tho I find them helpful when picking up trailers that are dropped too low or too high and are too #### heavy to use the dolly crank.

    Twenty degrees?!
Shux Howdy, Ziggy --- our thermometers don't even go below 40 degrees. :biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25513: :biggrin_2559: That's freezing in California. :biggrin_25521:

I've seen 18 degree nights here, and thought body partsw were gonna freeze off. The excess moisture in the air makes it unbareable. But I've seen nights of 15 below when I was in WY and walked around in just a flannel shirt and jeans. Didn't feel that cold..

Having grown up in SoCal -- and lived there all my life -- the Land-0-No-Seasons -- I wasn't quite ready for the bitter cold when I first experienced the Green Bay winters.
I learned to dry my hair COMPLETELY after a T/S shower -- and before headin' back to the Big truck.

Oh! I had all the proper attire.
Brand new stuff -- just startin' my driving career -- it's the cold effect I wasn't anticipating.
    Minus 30 degrees hurts!

You know what else I learned from experience? Snow is NOT as soft as it looks! I fell face first into a snow drift, and had 2 black eyes for almost a week!
