They are worth loads of money for research. Be careful though, some can be radioactive.

yeah, i just left it there, heck it was "burning" like crazy and there was a "streak" of smoking/singed grass in its wake.....besides, i never thought of it being worth anything....

    next time, i'll know better.

Oh yeah, concerning this thread, well, its not so strange really, but being a Midwesterner,I am still amazed at the vast EMPTYNESS of all the Western States....And it always crosses my mind, with all that real estate, why the Indians & Settlers could not figure out a way to share it 140 or so years ago,I mean, some of those states are basically empty of people NOW,how many could have been out there 150 years ago...

Rerun; Tell us again where that wothless rock is. Really, I'm sure it's not worth a #### thing--where exactly is it? It's just a dumb rock so why would you want it? Where it is and what does it look like? If you don't tell, we have ways....I mean it's not really important but where did you leave it? :biggrin_25521:

My goodness! You have me beat right there! And here I was thinking that driving a truck could be boring!

I saw something out of the ordinary yesterday in western Idaho down US 95: there was an ambulance traveling the opposite direction. It was distant, but it stopped on the shoulder. As I got closer, there were the guys running for dear life. I thought that they were running towards an injured victim or something. A closer observation revealed that the driver and the medic were chasing after the patient that escaped out of the back of the ambulance. They were able to subdue him. I had to make a split second decision if I wanted to get involved in the situation or not, but since the patient was subdued I kept going.

That was a crazy moment for me. Other off the wall moments are either x-rated or too inappropriate to list here.
