The right way to do it would be have the landing gear legs mounted on the inside of the frame rails and bolt it right where the gear normally is.

True, so if that's the case, take a ride to Harbor Freight, get one of them tool box side mount cabinets and mount it to that landing gear with a bracket that can go around the landing gear and attach to the trailer bulkhead. Two should do, top and bottom, and you can even choose a somewhat matching color to the trailer.

I'm hoping there's a chance to get it installed from the factory. I can never seem to get stuff looking quite as nice as factory, the sort of money this trailer is going to cost me I don't want to have it hacked together looking.

I used to haul that truss trailer for the truss company but I haven’t seen that trailer in a while since I punted that job last year.
I had lots of pictures but deleted them a few weeks ago to make room on phone as the pictures were mostly for if customers complain of damage to trusses when unloaded.CAXPT Thanks this. -
Ahhh...so you don't even own it yet? That makes more sense, then...so you're just specing it out or is it on it's way already?

Get a memory stick that you can download the stuff to so you can archive it for posterity and continued coverage.
I've got several sticks that I make copies to, just in case something happens to the hard drive, my pictures should be safe and backed up.

No I'm still waiting patiently, supposed to be built sometime in late June, be lucky to lay eyes on it by the 4th of July. Just been using a friend's on occasion and don't like the way chains work in a horizontal under frame box and would like to not have the extra weight of chains and a headache rack when switching back and forth between stepdeck and hopper hauling.

I hear you. As a company driver without all those nice box choices, I hated having to move things around just to get loaded and then worry about how I was going to secure dunnage and stuff that I didn't use. So I'm always looking for good ways to store stuff that makes sense so if I ever do get my own, I'll already know..and your idea of the locker box on the side is one of those good ideas.
Rubber duck kw and Shawn2130 Thank this. -
Figure I can't be the only one looking for a better way to store chains. Thought for sure Brunner or someone like that would make something. Need me a good CAD program to design what I'm thinking.CAXPT Thanks this.
