I've never thrown a hook, I always throw the roll, but I have accidently blasted homeless guy on a bike with about 15' of rolled up strap. Made him crash and I felt like crap. Bought him lunch and gave him a $20.

Bingo, or hubcap, side window, back of the cab, ect. Busting a trailer hub is what did it for me.
I ran a straight truck like this for a while before I went otr hauling 4-6 loads a day. I two sets of straps, one full length set for hauling empty pallets. Then I have my main set that was cut down to the tallest regular product we hauled (8x8x16 blocks). 9 times out of ten I used the short straps. You can get them much tighter with less effort when you only have a small amount of strap on the winch.
As you can see they went back to rolling all the straps up on the winches. But it’s not my circus anymore.cke, God prefers Diesels and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
