Just strapped my first load in blowing snow, 40mph N winds and 30 degrees! Had some issues but got it done, god I LOVE THIS!

Oh the joys of flat bedding. Exposure to the elements is why I invest in the warmest work-wear possible. A "quick tie down" usually turns into an hour + in the winter when you throw snow/ice/wind into the mix.

Sat there for and had a good chat with the owner of a smaller outfit (18 trucks) in Rochester, MN for an hour or so. They didn't have our loads staged, I assume the girls in the front office left in a hurry and didn't get your email message back to the shipping dept.

Went fine though, beat the weather and got back without tarping it.

try unloading. where all your straps are wet and frozen. your raatchets and trailer covered in snow and ice. and tarps are frozen and won't roll up.

i did that in denver. got there as the storm was blowing over. 18 degrees. and just in time for 25 to close down.

My straps froze one time and I couldn't get them to roll up, wound
up folding them up. They've never been the same. May replace them this year. I avoid snow when possible got trapped in Tx. last year was stuck three days at weatherford. all the fedex trucks causing wrecks

    SHC Thanks this.

that's why u carry a propane torch, and to roll them up all u had to do was stick them in the sleeper box. They would have thawed out eventually LOL!!!
