Wait until the glue in your shoes melts from standing on the old airport tarmac for 11 hours every day waiting for your turn in a truck......i remember that place.....screw learning to drive, I just wanted air conditioning!

Just Get in, get out, do your time with the company, and move on to somewhere better... I'm at swift right now coming up on a year and am about to go to averitt and run daycab. Swift has a bad rep and a lot of other drivers will treat you like scum for being a swifty. I have a crappy dm who is too lazy to answer qualcomm messages most of the time and gets mad if someone tries to call. Yep I have tried to switch dms but the terminal manager refused. I get about 2k miles a week and average 300 to 400 bucks a week take home. I run my ### off when I can, but usually I sit around waiting for a load. I'll get a load in the morning and it won't pick up till 4 in the afternoon, live load, then drive it 400 miles to get live unloaded the next day at 2pm, and then sit until the next morning waiting on a load.....just like I am right now

that sucks ,seems they would want u to do the miles with a new dm..well if things go like that for me with my dm,i plan on going after the 1st yr..get my exp.move on,,glad u found another company, good idea..much more money out there for guys that want the miles..sorry to hear ur having a bad exp there ur first yr..keep ur head up ,it will get better .u seem determine to drive so u should do fine.thats how im goin into this company, knowing im going to drive untill i retire n keeping a positive attitude my first few yrs... good luck witch.dokta
