These salespeople are full of it. They say anything to get a sale, period. Just look up the trailer spec sheet on the manufacturer's website. I've seen two ratings: concentrated and distributed. Usually says in closed position for distributed rating. I would like to see a chart for the trailer, letting me know how those ratings reduce as the trailer is opened out. Like a forklift or telehandler has such info available, as the size of the load they lift is further from the mast of the forklift. Same principles at work. Now back to searching for a thread debating revenue potential comparison between a 35T stretch 3-axle RGN a and a 3-axle low profile stretch stepdeck.
I make good money with a 3axle stretch RGN, when the work is there. Certainly more than with the 3 axle stretch steps we have. And there in lies the problem, most of the time it's dead weight is all! Martin
Yep it's dead wght. ask me I know.. But it seems to be hit or miss with the stretch lds. for me. I pulled 2 back to back and now, none..
Oh man!!!!! I'm trying. Kinda new here.. it's factory diagram, how to load 55ton on full stretched trailer. In a nut shell, footprint has to be on front and rear of deck, within 12" of either end. Full shim in rear bogie, may have to secure center of trailer (beams) to load to prevent sagging. you can load max load on any length stretch as long as foot print is very front and rear of deck. If you crib load in center.....well just don't, it'll get real expensive to re-arch the beams. if you want the diagram maybe someone can help me out with uploading jpegs. Maybe doesn't work well on IPad ?? Don't know.
