My truck is not stretched but I LOVE the extra bit of frame length. I cannot tell you how often I overhang 3-4 feet off the front of my flat.
Stretching frames on Trucks? What is the purpose?

There’s no frame splice failure to worry about on a long wheelbase truck from the factory. The truck in your post was factory 350” wheelbase. The original owner of that truck ran the northeast exclusively and went a lot of places people said he couldn’t.Feedman, singlescrewshaker, Magoo1968 and 10 others Thank this.

Proper methods used to make a frame rail repair will not fail.
Why is the length of my hood, my frame, or my f’ckin c’ck another man’s worry?
He isn’t driving it, paying for it, buying my fuel or keeping up the insurance.
As far as my Johnson I can assure you the last thing ima want do is go in behind some driver what worries bout another man’s junk, or financial status. I ain’t interested in chipping in on anyone else’s bills so stick to if you’re not ####in me, financing me or feeding me what is it to you? -
Clearly, Gary knows nothing of these trucks or the lifestyle. They’re not spliced; they’re on new rails. And, every one of these guys I’ve ever spoken to are awesome stewards of trucking. Dude needs a life.
This thread seems like déjà vu.
