When I trained drivers for a company I would get out of the truck and walk away,, never directed anyone,,mirrors don't lie!!, They all figured it out,,,not rocket science...we were in the bush so if dark I'd lay a flashlight on the ground they could use as reference backing to powder mag.

Definitely don’t give up, accidents happen and I know driving a rig can really test you in terms of how frustrating it can be when you’re trying and it’s just not happening yet, but even the most experienced drivers have days where they hit the docks perfect and days when they just can’t seem to get it.

I’m brand new but currently in training and the parallel parking for CDL test and certain backing maneuvers have even experienced drivers frustrated and pissed off, but it just takes repetition and learning the truck and the delays of the trailers reactions to the tractor etc,

My trainer was the one who said this about having good and bad backing days and he drove for 9 years and has been training for 5-6 so that’s not just coming from me.

Sorry to hear that your boyfriend seems to have given up on you but I know you will get it if you keep going! Best wishes.

Also I’m with CFI and they paid for my school it’s a 6 week program 3 weeks in school in Neosho Missouri and 3 weeks on road with trainer then test for your own CFI truck,

Maybe try talking with a recruiter there named Kristina Schaffer she was awesome helping with the process,

Hope this helps & keep on trucking,
