I had that on my first 440....it was awesome. The 3 stage dimmer still worked, and then the 10k button was to turn off all lights except channel & meter. Worked out pretty slick especially since I really dont use the 10k...made for a clean mod.

I liked my 447hpc that I had. It talked great and was loud. I don't think the sound was as good as my galaxy or cobras but I liked it better then the connex 3300 and 4600 sound. But that just my opinion. It will do what you need it to do though thats for sure.

Why would you buy a radio designed by a butthole if you didn't like the design??The Strykers that I have had were reliable and were good performers, just not my cup of tea.If they would ever put out the SSB radio they have been working on for years I might buy it.

Word is, Stryker has finally built a SSB Radio! Supposedly 6 were built and to be sent out for reviews to several shops, but right before they were shipped out a problem came up and shipping was delayed...This was posted on another CB Radio Forum last month, and so far nothing else has been posted about the radio...Rolling Radios is suppose to be getting at least one of the 6...

    -stay tuned....

Had no clue when I purchased the radio I would be experiencing night blindness with it. Of course the radio shop wouldn't take it back after it had been installed.

    Make sense?

Blindness is one thing....that is a common dislike with Strykers. The rest of the problems you listed had no pertinence to Stryker at all.

Will be interesting if the new SSB Strykers will have a stable SSB or if they'll drift like a boat on the water during a windstorm, like how Galaxy's tend to you.

If blue lights are an issue, I'll gladly take your Stryker off your hands, will trade ya a Cobra 21 that's said to be loud. :biggrin_25525:
