    I have no idea. Personally I'd never buy it if it's made in China. I don't mind buying a Chinese radio but I definitely wouldn't want to cut corners on the antenna system

    I did find one Chinese made antenna that is hermetically sealed and guaranteed never to leak water inside of it and they sell them for 26 bucks at all the truck stops.[​IMG]

    The oil turns black when you run enough power through them. :D

    Who cares what it looks like as long as it works? Not sure if you knew it, but you can open it up and drain the oil and add new mineral oil and put it back together.
    The thing I like about it is that it is totally indestructible even though the Chrome flakes off it keeps on working just fine

    I agree, they are practically bulletproof. No water gets inside like the new stuff...

    I wouldn't buy another. I'd rather buy a Francis 4'+
