when you have a dispatcher barking that if you disconnect you will be fired, some guys freeze up

maybe they have some tracking device to show he left the trailer alone

    docile comes at a price

post #26 might be the case for that instance. but we all know that's not always the case.

some scales are literally a hundred miles away from decent camping.

Thats the mentality that they use today with alot of these big carriers or employers period. Fear and intimidation. Thats all the whole DAC report thing is, just another scare tactic they push you around with. Ive been half tempted to apply to one of these foolish companies that use it and blow off orientation just to get my own copy to hang on the refridgerator.

That's just one of a million things you have to put up with at a mega carrier.Bet Boyd loses a lot of customers too.Wonder what those Amish ppl was thinking when there freight was days late.Think that's where that load was going.

Maybe they were thinking its time to get some sort of a telecommunication device. I agree I would never work for one of these outfits, but I understand for most starting out its the only option. Unfortunately it leaves a bad taste for many guys.

I'm waiting for a call from a well known carrier.Don't know what their reputation about the whole sitting thing is like but if I get hired it would be home every night. In this case the driver was pretty much forgotton and Boyd didn't care. But the op should have got on them until they do care.I wouldn't have put up with it.At least communicate with the guy and let him know whats going on.
