2009 389. Truck will only blow cold air on and defrost. Where are the blender door locations? Truck has been sitting but just put on the road today. I’ve looked up actuators but they all look the same to me.

How long she been sit'n.?
Possibly parked in a warm month & the ball or gate valves to the heater core are closed..? -
She was sitting for roughly 2 years. The bunk heater works great though.singlescrewshaker Thanks this.

Mine on a 2015 389 are behind the panel on the right side floor and I think one may be behind the kick plate on the right side wall (may be wrong on side wall but it has been a while since I looked at it) Mine are all labeled on the wiring harness as to which actuator it is. I have had issues with my actuators twice. The first time the plastic tab that the actuator turns broke. This part can only be accessed from inside the heater box which meant the dash had to be pulled apart to do this. The last issue I replaced the actuator for the blend door. Mine wouldn’t turn all the way to open the dash vent. It still wouldn’t work after the new actuator, but a few weeks later I hit an extremely large pothole. I found a bolt laying on the floorboard and then the actuator would open the dash vent. I assume a bolt had been dropped in the vent at some point and eventually got stuck causing the issue, may have just been enough of a jar to cause it to work and the bolt came from someplace else. Either way it works now.Last edited: Mar 27, 2021

I’m thinking ours might be the selector. I was told they are common for getting hot and going out. Pete wants like $800 for a new one though. So we haven’t pulled the trigger. Still trying to check wires and actuators to see if we over looked something simple.

Try eBay if you need one. Occasionally you will find what you need. The actuators are cheap at Pete or other places.Wheels65 Thanks this.

They are all over the board as far as price. If you are able to dig a little and cross reference some numbers you probably will be ok.

That’s not the module I have in my truck but I have been looking around and found a couple used ones for around $500 though.
